Description:
This report is a product of the U.S. EPA's Environmental Technoloy Verification (ETV) Program and is focused on the Smart Sonics Ultrasonic Aqueous Cleaning Systems. The verification is based on three main objectives. (1) The Smart Sonic Aqueous Cleaning Systems, Model 2000 and Model 4200 do not contain select violatile organic compounds (VOCs) and halogenated compounds above detection limits using SCAQMD's "Clean Air Solvent Certification Protocols. (2) Smart Sonics Cleaning systems will remove rosin mildly activated (RMA) no-clean and water washable solder pastes from printed circuit board stencils at 10 x magnification. (3) The are no other characteristics or conditions from use of this technology which may pose as a hazard to public health and the environment.
