Description:
The concept of putting brownfield real estate back into safe and practical use is very appealing o both the owner and the neighborhood. Environmental regulations often preclude multi-use alterantives because traditional containment solutions rely on water barrier covers. These are typically fragile and not suitable for reuse, and therefore fenced off. Wilder Construction Compny has developed a better solution: MatCon, an alternative cap, or cover system, using modified asphalt hot mix that provides: Impermeability, Strength and Resilience, and Longevity. MatCon is Modified Asphalt Technology for Containment, intended for use as a waste containment material/system, and can be configured to function as both a hydraulic barrier and as a drainage layer or leak detection system in single or multiple layers. The composition is a proprietary modified bindier coupled with selected type and gradation of aggregate.
