The overall objective of this task is to provide the Agency with improved science guidance and strategies for more effective science management and administration.

Description:

Legal issues are becoming as important as any other in promoting or limiting the development of GIS technology. Certainly legal considerations must now be kept in mind during the creation and implementation of large public and private GIS projects. Debate focuses on a number of key issues and questions. This presentation brings to light many of the obvious and hidden legal issues surrounding GIS including product liability and freedom of information.
