This course will give a quality assurance perspective to research planning by describing the Data Quality Objective Process....Written plans are mandatory for all EPA environmental data collection activities according to EPA Order 5360.1 CHG 1 and Federal Acquisition Regulations, Part 46. This also means that each research product, such as journal articles, reports, or models, must be supported by a Research Plan.

The Plan should describe the research to be conducted Hypotheses in a Plan must clearly address high priority areas of uncertainties identified in the Team, Division, or Laboratory Strategic Plans. The Plan directly links research products with GPRA goals and measures....
