Under a cooperative agreement, U.S. Geological Survey technicians have been measuring river flow and suspended sediment loads and collecting water samples for laboratory analysis on a monthly basis since July 1984 for the Clark Fork River and Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho (17010213). Only 3 sets of data have been collected in the current study. This report presents results of assays for algal growth potential, analyses of nutrients and heavy metals, water chemical analyses, Secchi disk transparencies, temperature, pH, and dissolved oxygen..

Data Use & Constraints :Methods used in this study were standard procedures used in limnological investigations. Chemical analyses were performed by the ID Bureau of Laboratories in Coeur dAlene and Boise according to APHA and EPA Standard Methods. Metals analyses methods employed were the same as those employed by Montana in its studies.
