CROOKED RIVER, IDAHO STREAM SURVEY AND IN-SITU TOXICITY RESULTS, 1986

Description:

This report summarizes results from an investigation of Crooked River (17060305) and adjacent dredge ponds. Chemical and physical water quality parameters and in-situ toxicity were characterized for 9 sites throughout the reach. The work was conducted at the request of ID Department of Health and Welfare and the Environmental Protection Agency, Region 10. The major objectives of the study were 1) to gather baseline toxicity, water chemistry, and biological data in dredge ponds and at various points on the reach and 2) to determine whether waters in the contiguous dredge ponds contained toxic concentrations of heavy metals. This data report provides basic toxicity information, which may be used to develop strategies for more intensive investigations. Baldigo, B.P. 1986.
