JORDAN CREEK STUDY, OWYHEE COUNTY, ID IN 1975-1976

Description:

A set of 3 intensive surveys was completed on Jordan Creek in Owyhee County, ID (17050108) during August and October 1975 and June 1976. Studies were conducted to determine the water quality condition of the stream and to assess the impact of pollution sources. The study included 6 mainstem and 3 tributary stations with the following parameter categories: DO, pH, temperature, flow (discharge), bacteria, solids, nutrients, trace inorganic toxins, and macroinvertebrates. During the study, water quality problems were noted for elevated temperatures, pH and bacteria violations, excessive turbidity and suspended sediment, trophic nutrient concentrations, and toxic metals concentrations.
