Progress
:In Fiscal Year 03, the CEAM distributed 8,502 models, provided help desk support to 73 telephone inquiries, had 14,234 accesses to its Home Page, and provided training opportunities for 90 people from state, federal and private entities. Direct modeling technical support was provided at five locations/projects. Most notably, the CEAM is not providing distribution of models and providing technical support for TMDLs. Currently, discussions are ongoing with the Office of Water related to providing increased support and training for models used in Watershed and Water Quality Modeling. Additional resources are needed for further development of these capabilities. The CEAM is also heavily involved in serving as a model and providing advice on the formation of ORD's new virtual Center for Environmental Education.
Relevance
:CEAM continues its role as the distribution and contact point for support of EPA environmental risk decision models. The CEAM?s statistical numbers demonstrate the relevance and reliance the model-based assessment community places on the work at CEAM.
Clients
:CEAM?s services are used by Program Offices (OW, OSWER, OAR, OPPTS), Regions, States, educational institutions, and private businesses.
