Description:

The purpose of this paper is to provide guidance to Remedial Project Managers (RPM) and On-Scene Coordinators (OSC) concerning soil characterization data types required for decision-making in the CERCLA RI/FS process related to risk assessment and remedial alternative evaluation for contaminated soils. Many of the problems that arise are due to a lack of
understandng the data types required for tasks 2 and 3 above.
This paper describes the soil chactererization data types required
to conduct model based risk assessment for task 2 and
the selection of remedial design for task 3. The information
presented in this paper is a compilation of current information
