Description:

The theory, current testing program at Homer City, PA, and other applications of the physical coal cleaning process are examined in this report. his cleaning process allows the use of raw coals with a pyritic to organic sulfur content of 2:1 to 4:1, by removing enough pyrite sulfur to permit the cleaned coal to be burned while still meeting sulfur dioxide standards. dvantages of the process are also discussed
