Description:

This paper presents results from physical tests used to evaluate MWC residues treated by five S/S processes. he physical properties are especially important for determining utilization applications. onsiderable emphasis was placed on structural properties and long-term durability during exposure to varied environmental conditions. or each process, side-by-side comparisons were made of physical tests results from the (1) unconfined compressive strength (UCS) determinations, (2) the UCS after immersion tests, (3) the wet/dry weathering tests, (4) the freeze/thaw weathering tests, and (5) permeability determinations. n general, the test specimens resulting from processes that obtained the higher USC's, and the wet/dry weathering tests. ermeability had little effect on the performance of the test specimens during the physical testing.
