Description:

The Integrated Air Cancer Project's (IACP) first major field study was in Boise, Idaho during 1986-1987 and the second major field effort was in Roanoke, Virginia during 1988-1989. he sample custody office was responsible for the custody of all samples and resolving all discrepancies in the chain of custody records. his comprehensive sampling effort for the two studies resulted in over 23,000 different samples that were collected, shipped to a central laboratory, logged into notebooks, chain of custody verified, stored under various conditions and then released to different Investigators. s the validated field sample data and the analytical data from these various samples became available a logical database was created that would bring together all of this information in one location. he centralized database is located on an IBM mainframe using a fourth generation data management system.
