The report describes technical methods of degradation, destruction, detoxification, and disposal of wastes containing chlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans. ncluded are descriptions of proven methods such as incineration, as well as innovative technologies such as UV photolysis, supercritical oxidation, and KPEG. ata contained in the document describe the effectiveness of some of the technologies to reduce the concentration and/or mobility of dioxins and related compounds from actual field tests. ncluded are descriptions of the cleanup of dioxin contaminated soil in Missouri and the U.S. Air Force project to incinerate Agent Orange contaminated soil in Mississippi.
