Description:

This is a gas chromatographic (GC) method applicable to the determination of selected pesticides in municipal and industrial discharges as provided under 40CFR 136.1. A sample is solvent extracted with methylene chloride using a separatory funnel. The extract is concentrated and analyzed by GC using a flame photometric or phosphorus/nitrogen detector. The compounds included in the method scope are: azinphos methyl, bolstar, chlorpyrifos, coumaphos, demeton, diazinon, dichlorvos, disulfoton, ethoprop, fensulfothion, fenthion, merphos, mevinphos, naled, parathion methyl, phorate, ronnel, stirophos, tokuthion, and trichloronate.
