Description:

The proceedings document presentations at the Fifth Symposium on Fugitive Emissions: Measurement and Control, May 3-5, 1982, in Charleston, SC. The Symposium was sponsored by the U.S. EPA's Air and Energy Engineering Research Laboratory (known then as the Industrial Environmental Research Laboratory) in Research Triangle Park, NC, as part of the Agency's continuing effort to develop methods for measuring and controlling airborne and waterborne fugitive emissions from energy and industrial processes. The objective of the symposium was to bring together people from industrial, academic, research, and government organizations with experience or interest in fugitive emissions problems to exchangeinformation of mutual potential benefit. The program included presentations by individuals from a variety of organizations describing their experience and viewpoints regarding the impact, measurement, and control of fugitive emissions. An international flavor was provided by presentations by authors from Belgium, Canada and Sweden.
