Description:

The report describes the evaluation program undertaken to determine the polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) destruction efficiency during a May 1980 verification co-firing of waste oil containing approximately 500 ppm of PCBs, in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations, in a high-efficiency industrial boiler owned and operated by General Motors Corporation at Bay City, MI. Also investigated was the environmental and workplace impact which occurs during the handling and combustion of PCB-contaminated waste oils.
