Description:
The objective of this project was to examine the use of activated carbon in reducing the content of biologically resistant organic compounds in a combined industrial wastewater treatment system. The invvestigation was conducted in two stages: (1) characterize organic priority pollutants bio-refractory to a fullscale combined industrial treatment system, and (2) evaluate add-on activated carbon adsorption for removal of these priority pollutants.
