Description:
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Reference Method 25 measures the total gaseous nonmethane organics as carbon in source emissions. Both laboratory and field studies were conducted to evaluate this method. Tested were the effectiveness of a commercial nonmethane organic analyzer, Byron Model 401, and the sample collection and conditioning system used. Two field tests at a textile plant and a plywood veneer plant were conducted using identical dual sampling trains. Various modifications are recommended to improve the method.
