Citation:

Davis, J., E. Stevens, D. Staiff, AND L. Butler. POTENTIAL EXPOSURE OF APPLE THINNERS TO PHOSALONE. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, D.C., EPA/600/J-82/286 (NTIS PB83189696), 1982.

Description:

Apple thinning results in considerable human contact with foliage, fruit, and limbs. This work often occurs during that portion of the growing season when trees are most frequently being sprayed for insect conrol. Therefore, of all workers exposed to pesticide residues upon reentry into sprayed crops, apple thinners probably receive some of the heaviest exposure.
