Description:

Mixing rules for water/chlorocarbon/anionic-surfactant systems have been studied. t was found that the behavior of chlorocarbons parallels the ideal mixing rules for hydrocarbons. he polarity of some chlorocarbons prevented a direct determination of electrolyte concentration and solubilization parameter for optimum formulations. hese values were obtained by extrapolation and have been tabulated. arious complex mixtures containing chlorocarbons and hydrocarbons were prepared and their experimental optimum salinities were compared to calculated values.
