As part of the Chesapeake Bay Program microzooplankton data has been collected by the Maryland Department of the Environment /Maryland Department of Natural Resources and the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality since July 1984. Maryland Microzooplankton Count Files (and Related Event Files) contain data which has been collected at fixed sampling stations in the upper Chesapeake Bay, Maryland tributaries and the Potomac River. The data through December of 1995 are available. Count files are for single calendar years and include detailed taxonomic identifications of microzooplankton. Virginia Microzooplankton Count Files (and Related Event Files) contains data collected at fixed sampling stations in the lower Chesapeake Bay and the Virginia tributaries, including Elizabeth River, from July 1993 through December 1995. Count files are for single calendar years and include identifications of general microzooplankton.
