A joint conference co-sponsored by the Atmospheric Research and Exposure Assessment Laboratory of the U.S Environmental Protection Agency and the Air & Waste Management Association was held at Raleigh, North Carolina, May 1-4, 1990. he technical program consisted of 187 presentations held in 20 separate sessions on recent advances in the measurement and monitoring of toxic and related pollutants found in ambient, source, and indoor atmospheres. he symposium covered a wide range of measurement topics and was supported by 66 exhibitors of instrumental and consulting services. ore than 850 attendees from the United States and other countries attended. n overview of selected highlights from the technical presentations is given in this summary.
