Nelson, Jr., A., D. Armentrout, AND T. Johnson. VALIDATION OF AIR MONITORING DATA. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, D.C., EPA/600/4-80/030 (NTIS PB81112534), 1980.

Description:

Data validation refers to those activities performed after the data have been obtained and thus serves as a final screening of the data before they are used in a decision making process. This report provides organizations that are monitoring ambient air levels and stationary source emissions with a collection of data validation procedures and with criteria for selection of the appropriate procedures for the particular application. Both hypothetical and case studies, and several examples are given to illustrate the use of the procedures. Statistical procedures and tables are in the appendices.
