This report is comprised of summaries of eight investigations into diverse areas of air quality meteorology resulting from a cooperative research effort by graduate students and faculty of the atmospheric sciences program of North Carolina State University and the staff and facilities of the EPA Meteorology and Assessment Division, Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Research topics include: Meteorological analysis of the St. Louis RAPS data; Atmospheric visibility and suspended particulates; Mesoscale wind structure over complex terrain; Surface winds in mountainous terrain inferred from 850 mb rawinsonde data.
