Description:
The titanium industry produces two principal products, titanium metal and titanium dioxide. For purposes of analyses, therefore, the industry is considered in two segments: titanium metal production and titanium dioxide production. Two industrial process flow diagrams and eleven process descriptions have been prepared to characterize the industry. Within each process description available data have been presented on input materials, operation parameters, utility requirements, and waste stream. Data related to the subject matter, including composition and properties of titanium products, as well as producer listings, are included as appendices.
