Description:

The Oregon Wetland Study (OWS) is designed to provide technical information about natural wetlands and projects, which can be used by Wetland regulators and managers to improve wetland management strategies and facilitate implementation of a policy for no net wetland loss. he OWS builds on work from the Oregon Pilot Study conducted in the metropolitan of Portland, Oregon in 1987, and the 1993 growing season samples. he general approach will be to collect data that can be used to characterize and compare the structural and functional attributes of natural wetlands and wetland projects. esearch objectives have been identified to fill the information needs f a cohesive management and regulatory program.
