Quality Assurance (QA) methodology, as set forth in this plan is used to insure the QA objectives of the study are met. ll participants must be impressed from the beginning with importance of maintaining a commitment to quality throughout the project. raining field personnel is an important part of QA. ll personnel must be familiar f\with the procedures to be used, confident in their ability to use the equipment, and standardized among teams to keep errors associated with data collected by different people to a minimum. ield personnel must be given the opportunity to assess procedures and to suggest improvements, since this is a pilot study. The field samples to be collected for each parameter are listed in Tables, and QA objectives for these measurements are discussed. ield data forms are designed to prompt field teams to follow the field standard procedures, and check lists will be supplied to ensure that all data is collected. nternal audits and field audits provide checks on procedural compliance and data validity. During the field, data, and analysis portions of the study, internal QA checks will be used to identify potential problems or sources of error. uch checks will provide timely feedback to allow corrections if necessary.
