Description:
A Barringer COSPEC spectrophotometer was used to measure the total overhead burden of SO2 and NO2 in the St. Louis urban plume and in the plumes of specific power plants in the St. Louis area. This information was combined with meteorological data to calculate SO2 fluxes in the plumes. A flame photometric sulfur monitor was used to determine ground level SO2 concentrations at points of plume touchdown. The data is presented in detailed maps and also in tabular form.
