CENSUS TIGER ROADS/RAILS/STREAMS FOR EPA REGION 10
Description:
This data is available for each county in the region. The information is in line format generally at the 100K scale. In heavily urbanized areas, the roads and streams are from the Census Dime files and in those areas, the stream data is not very accurate. The 100K scale looks good for maps down to about 1 inch to the mile (5-10 miles on 8 1/2 x 11 paper). There are also names available for the streams and roads, but plotting these do not always produce pretty maps. The names may prove beneficial for working maps. Information is too detailed to plot all roads/streams on statewide maps. We have other coverages at the 2ml scale for those. This is the coverage used to provide background information for the SITEINFO GIS application. Scale: 100K DLG and Dime. Major Attributes: Roadways including major freeways, state highways, roads, city streets, and jeep trails, railroads, streams, rivers, canals, names for some streams/roads. Projection: R10 Albers.
