ELEVATION DATA FOR OREGON AND WASHINGTON

Description:

The WA 1:24,000 scale data have an elevation at approx. every 30 meters. The 1:250,000 scale data are gathered at intervals of approx. every 85 meters along the ground. These data may be used in the generation of graphics such as isometric projections displaying slope, direction of slope, and terrain profiles between designated points. Non-graphic applications could include the determination of landslide probability, volumes of reservoirs, etc. Scale: 1:250,000 OR & WA, 1:24,000 (WA). Extent: Oregon and Washington. Major Attributes: Land elevations at set points in a grid. Projection: UTM zone 10 (OR 1:250,000), WA files are in original format in UTM coordinates. Source: USGS (OR); WA Dept.
