Description:
The report reviews aquatic research programs conducted or managed by the Environmental Research Laboratory, Gulf Breeze, Florida, for the office of Research and Development, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in 1978 and 1979. The research program examines the impact of pesticides and other organic compounds on marine species and communities, and seeks to develop new methodology for determining ecological hazards of chemicals under conditions simulating the natural environment. Projects are outlined in the area of: Exposure Assessment, Effects Assessment, Chlorination Studies, Offshore Oil Drilling, Environmental Pathobiology, and the Chesapeake Bay Program.
