The annotated bibliography contains 365 references related to the behavioral and physiological effects of noise. References to research articles, texts, other literature reviews and symposia are provided. The review covers the period 1968 thru 1974. Some foreign research published as early as 1966 is reported. The review is subdivided into approximately twenty relevant areas including personality differences, sleep, sonic boom, noise measurement, effects of noise on social relevant behavior, hearing loss, temporary threshold shift, physiological effects, motor skills, vigilance and perceptual processes.
