Description:

This handbook is an extensively revised version of the Ground Water Handbook, originally published in 1987 as EPA/625/6-87/016. It has been published in two volumes: Volume I: Ground Water and Contamination, EPA/625/6-90/016a, and Volume II: Methodology, EPA/625/6-90/016b. Volume II describes investigative approaches and techniques and includes monitoring well design and construction, ground-water sampling, transport and fate of contaminants in the subsurface, ground-water tracers, introduction to aquifer test analysis, and models and computers in ground-water investigations. Volume I includes asic geology, classification of ground-water regions, ground water-surface water relationship, basic hydrogeology, ground-water contamination, ground-water investigations, and ground-water restoration.
