Description:

Effective management of municipal solid waste is a challenge facing the United States as the amount of waste generated per capita increases. n response to this challenge, recycling is actively being promoted and integrated into State solid waste management plans. ith solid waste management methods, including recycling, there are some safety concerns which need to be identified and evaluated. his report provides a general overview of the recycling operation and associated safety concerns (public health, occupational safety and environmental) involved in the collection, separation/sorting, transportation and process of five post-consumer recyclables.
