REGION 10 SITEINFO GIS APPLICATION
Description:
SITEINFO was developed to be a simple to use GIS application that is usable by regional staff to create informative reports and map displays of EPA management concerns, regulated sources, human health, and ecosystem information for areas surrounding any given location in the region.
Users can request SITEINFO report/maps or can request SITEINFO+ report/maps. SITEINFO+ is in beta test mode and allows users to turn on/off data themes and adds optional detailed facility and discharge reports thru Envirofacts links)
Data Sources: USGS digital mapping data. Census Tiger line & population data files. Northwest River Reach File. Oregon Fish & Wildlife fisheries production data. State Natural Heritage Data Base for threatened and endangered species. Washington Department of Wildlife Priority Habitat database. Washington National Wetlands Inventory (NWI) data. Access Procedures
:The application is available for use by all staff members thru GIS workstations located in media program areas, the Library, and through PC's connected to the regional LAN. Additionally, this application is available to other interested agencies and the public as an outreach project thru the GIS workstation in the Library and via WWW (Mosaic/Netscape/...) on the internet.Hardware: Data General Unix workstations/server.
