COMPARISON OF COLLECTION PROCEDURES FOR THE REINJECTION ION CHROMATOGRAPHY OF WATER

Citation:

Hoover, T. AND G. Yager. COMPARISON OF COLLECTION PROCEDURES FOR THE REINJECTION ION CHROMATOGRAPHY OF WATER. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, D.C., EPA/600/J-84/171 (NTIS PB85151298).

Description:

Four collection protocols for the heart-cutting procedure in ion chromatography were compared statistically to determine the best method for use in the analysis of trace ions in water. In the comparison, the protocols were applied in the analysis of 0.1 to 0.4-ppm AS(V) added to a municipal drinking water. Best precision was found when the collection was based on detector response rather than time and when collection included up to half of the next following major peak (SO4(-2)).
