Description:
A rapid and simplified procedure is described for the preparation of support-bonded Carbowax 20M gas chromatographic column packings. The heat treatment process is carried out in a 100-ml volumetric pipet in a conventional gas chromatograph. Using the described procedure, column packing can be prepared in as little as three days. Representative chromatograms of intact carbamate pesticides and underivatized polar pesticide metabolites are illustrated.
