Application of the Agricultural Conservation Planning Framework (ACPF) in the Upper East Fork of the Little Miami River Watershed (EFLMR)

Impact/Purpose:

The agricultural conservation planning framework (ACPF) is a relative new tool developed by the USDA-ARS that facilitates the a concept for agricultural watershed management supported by high-resolution data and an ArcGIS toolbox, which are used to identify site-specific opportunities to install conservation practices across small watersheds. We are applying the tool in ORD's case study watershed, East Fork of the Little Miami, to help support a partnership program working on constructed wetlands for nutrient reduction and ORD's research in market-based approaches to reducing nutrient pollution. The presentation overviews the tool and demonstrates preliminary results of its application in the East Fork. Members of the Regional Watershed Network who are interested in using the tool in their systems requested that Dr. Nietch provide this overview.
