A geographic information system (GIS) spatial data library is maintained through the Interior Columbia Basin Ecosystem Management Project. Sponsored by the Bureau of Land Management, the library contains more than 200 products which include the following types of data: aquatic, atmospheric, cultural, demographic, fisheries, hydrologic, minerals/geology, physiographic, political, species, and vegetation. Users must pay a fee to obtain the data. People with personal computers and modems can connect directly to the ICBEMP Electronic Library System in Walla Walla, WA to read and download documents related to the project. The phone number is (509) 522-4085 with communications settings of (9600, 8, 1, N). A complete data listing is available, along with summaries of individual data products. A contact name is included in each individual summary to call for additional information about the data set.
