EPA’s Sustainable and Healthy Communities (SHC) Research Program is working to provide the knowledge, data, and tools needed to answer those questions while supporting local communities seeking to become more sustainable.

Description:

This presentation provides a broad overview of EPA/Office of Research and Development, SHC Research Program's Topic 1. The presentation was developed for the Board of Scientific Counselors (BOSC) SHC Subcommittee Meeting in March and April 2021. The four research areas that will be covered include the following: Site Characterization and Remediation, Solvent Vapor Intrusion, Leaking Underground Storage Tanks, and Chemicals of Immediate Concern (PFAS and Lead).
