Description:

This report describes the first test of the magnetic drum separator that was designed to scalp the underflow of the trommel, or rotary screen, at the New Orleans, Louisiana, resource recovery facility. The objective of the test was to document the performance of the trommel-unders magnetic drum separator with the trommel processing raw municipal solid waste at the nominal design feed rate of 62.5 tph.
