Impact/Purpose:
Highlights and purpose of the EPA's Air Sensor 2018: Deliberating Performance Targets Workshop were reported. The summary defined the event and why air sensor technology needs standardization of its performance requirements.
Description:
Communication's Highlight. The U.S. EPA in collaboration with the Economic Council of States (ECOS), and with the assistance of numerous national and international air quality experts, conducted the Air Sensors 2018: Deliberating Performance Targets Workshop (June 25-26th, 2018 in Research Triangle Park, NC). The workshop was developed to gather information concerning the state of air quality sensor technologies and their application to meet a wide range of end user monitoring needs. The workshop sought to gather individual stakeholder views related to non-regulatory performance targets for sensor monitoring involving the measurement of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and (O3) ozone.
