Description:

Microbial pest control agents (MPCAs) are microorganisms that are applied to agricultural and silvacultural environments to control proliferation and dissemination of insect or plant pests. uring a field application, it is likely that nontarget plants and animals are exposed to MPCAs. ollowing extensive experimentation, protocols were developed using oral, intravenous, and respiratory administration of the agent to two test species of birds (mallard and bobwhite). hese protocols are suitably designed to demonstrate pathogenicity of microorganisms in the test bird species. his report summarizes the work completed during the development and evaluation of these protocols.
