The paper describes the EPA-developed Global Emissions Database (GloED) and how it works. t was prepared to accompany a demonstration of GloED, a powerful software package. loED is a user-friendly, menu-driven tool for storing and retriEving emissions factors and activity data on a country-specific basis. ata can be selected from databases resident within GloED and/or supplied by the user. he data are used to construct emissions scenarios for the countries and sources selected. nterferences are linked to the data to ensure clear data pedigree. he scenario outputs can be displayed on thematic global maps or other graphic outputs (e.g., pie or bar charts). n addition, data files can be exported as Lotus 1-2-3, dBase, or ASCII files, and graphics can be saved as a PCX file or exported to a printer.
