Description:
A technique for screening and simultaneously maintaining individual clones of the gene library for long-term storage is described. his method is particularly useful for identification and cloning of genes from cosmid-based genomic libraries of prokaryotes that constitute a smaller number of recombinant clones, most of which carry fragments of 20-30 kb in size.
