Description:

The paper gives results of a review of the quarterly performance ofsub-slab depressurization (SSD) radon mitigation systems in eighthouses in the New Jersey (NJ) Piedmont study and houses in whichthe NJ Department of Environmental Protection measurements haveindicated operation at above the U.S. EPA guideline of 4 pCi/ L. Quarterly radon levels, mitigation system noise levels and flowrates, exhaust radon level, moisture problems, and other pertinentoperating parameters are evaluated. omeowner influence on theoperation of the mitigation systems has been documented and wasshown to be the major cause of above-guideline levels of radon inmitigated houses.
