ESTIMATION OF VIABLE AIRBORNE MICROBES DOWNWIND FROM A POINT SOURCE

Citation:

Lighthart, B. AND A. Frisch. ESTIMATION OF VIABLE AIRBORNE MICROBES DOWNWIND FROM A POINT SOURCE. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, D.C., EPA/600/J-76/020 (NTIS PB265288), 1975.

Description:

Modification of the Pasquill atmospheric diffusion equations for estimating viable microbial airborne cell concentrations downwind from a continuous point source is presented. A graphical method is given to estimate the ground level cell concentration given (1) microbial death rate, (2) mean wind speed, (3) atmospheric stability class, (4) downwind sample distance from the source, and (5) source height.
