The Oregon Wetlands Study (OWS) was designed to provide detailed characterizations of natural, created, and restored freshwater wetlands which is located in the urban environment of Portland, Oregon. his document discusses training the elementary, middle and high school teachers in the sampling methods, the implementation of the sampling activities and use of teachers as field workers, changes made in individual sampling protocols due to the practicalities of field sampling, and the overall efficacy of the sampling methodology.
