Description:
The Environmental Protection Agency has determined a need to develop guidance on the proper use and interpretation of meteorological remote sensing devices. o this end, an experiment will be conducted at the Boulder Atmospheric Observatory during April 1995. he objectives of this experiment are to develop guidance on acceptance testing and calibration procedures, update sodar and radar performance statistics, determine the usefulness of sodar-derived estimates of Ow, and O8, and perform sodar beam characterization. he experiment will include data from four sodars, two radars, tower-based in situ instruments, and balloon soundings.
