Description:

This report provides information from laboratory research conducted to characterize the size reduction of municipal solid waste (MSW). Results and data are presented on the relationships between refuse size distribution, particle size, grinding speed, moisture content, energy consumption, and feed rate. Also presented are some basic considerations for designing solid waste shredders.
